“ Stopped in for the first time Wednesday night, coincidentally, prime rib special night. Places can get prime rib wrong, but they didn't. Decent cut and tender. Good side selection and the house-made horseradish dipping cream, almost whipped, was a good addition. Friendly and helpful bartender (at one of the three bars). I can see this place being crowded in warmer months, but in the cold, it's a cozy spot on the water. Will be stopping back in for the January burger special before heading out of town. ”
“ we love this place! I’m going to share why.... me and my boyfriend discovered this place a little over a year and a half ago. We’ve made it a point to attend at least once a month. as seen in the photos, we made some lifelong friendships here. We have also made it a point to meet up with these friends at the copper Penny, and enjoy drinks and good food!!! sometimes the service can be slow if they are working on one bartender or low staff, but honestly that is everywhere. The service has not deterred us from coming here. majority of the time it is really well and we have amazing servers!! I have never gotten a bad server there, everyone has been super friendly, and if they didn’t know the answer, then they tried to obtain it. i’ve thoroughly enjoyed every food item I’ve gotten from here, I recently tried the boom boom shrimp tacos, which were a major hit. The salmon is an absolute five star, The quesadillas, and the burgers are to die for. if I had to pick one favorite though, it would definitely be the shrimp tacos!! we have attended on some music, bingo nights on Thursdays, Those are really fun. We also like to go on the weekends and enjoy the Lakeview, and whatever live music is playing. They have a good selection of on draft beers, I normally get a Moscow mule, whatever sider they have on tap, and usually their flight shots. I highly recommend this place, I absolutely love it and will continue to be going back!!! ”

“ Words cannot describe this location. Only a visit will suffice! The food. The views. The staff. The location. The atmosphere. First time to this location last weekend, on a Saturday, at lunchtime. Place was booming! Parking lot was full, which is usually a good sign to me! ( I understand with a full parking lot, there'd be a delay in possible seating / small wait time for food to be ready. ) While I waited, I passed the time looking around at the view & the location. ( Pictures will be included ) Then I finished by shopping in their very clean & organized market. I bought 4 shirts. & I wanted more honestly . Let me tell you... My food was worth the wait ! Definitely fresh. I love that I can tell they care about the product they sell. In the ingredients & the quality of the outcome. I definitely recommend going to The Copper Penny Grill - Lake Hickory location ! * I did not go to the lower level bar or the lakeside patio - I was crunched for time but cannot wait to go back and explore more! ”
